🎵 How to Add Songs to Your Wedding Playlist
Planning your music should be fun, not stressful. Here’s how to access your playlist and add songs for your big day with Barry Marries.
Step 1: Log Into Your Client Portal #
Head to your booking portal and sign in using the email and password you created.
Once logged in, you’ll see your event dashboard.
Tip: If you forgot your password, use the Forgot Password link.
Step 2: Open Your Playlist #
Inside your event dashboard, look for:
Playlist or Music Requests
Click it to open your wedding playlist page.
You’ll be able to:
✅ Add must-play songs
✅ Add special songs (first dance, parent dances, ceremony songs, etc.)
✅ Add general party requests
✅ Tell me songs or artists you do not want played
Step 3: Add a Song #
On the playlist page:
- Click Add Song (or similar button)
- Enter the song title
- Enter the artist name
- Choose a category (if available)
- Click Save or Add
Example:
Song: September
Artist: Earth, Wind & Fire
Repeat this process for as many songs as you’d like.
Step 4: Add Important Songs First #
To make planning easier, start with the songs that matter most:
Ceremony Music #
- Processional (walking down the aisle)
- Bride/Groom entrance
- Recessional (walking back out)
Reception Special Songs #
- Grand entrance
- First dance
- Parent dances
- Cake cutting
- Bouquet toss
- Last song of the night
Dance Floor Favorites #
Think:
- Songs you absolutely love
- Songs that get your crowd dancing
- Family favorites
- Singalongs
Step 5: Add “Do Not Play” Songs #
Nobody wants surprise awkward songs 😅
Use the playlist area to include:
- Songs you hate
- Artists you don’t want played
- Genres to avoid
- Anything inappropriate for your crowd
Examples:
- Explicit music
- Country (or rap, metal, etc.)
- Certain artists
- Songs tied to bad memories
Step 6: Update Anytime #
You can come back and update your playlist anytime before your event.
Don’t stress about getting it perfect immediately, many couples add songs over time as they hear ideas.
